Monsell + Co. was founded by my father Carey Monsell in 1986 in Portland, Maine. He was schooled in the trade at Southern Maine Technical College and practiced in the field with the older master carpenters of his time before becoming self employed. My father always believed in doing things right from the start and all the way through a project never compromising on quality or short cutting the proper methods. He spent his career doing a diversity of projects and developed a large client base with many satisfied customers.
We have built custom homes and completed many extensive renovations and additions as well as, worked on historic homes throughout the Portland area. We have a reputation for quality and our business has been primarily driven by referral.
